Waterbury Woman, 18, Accused Of Shooting Man In Back Of Head, Killing Him

A man who was shot in the back of the head allegedly by an 18-year-old Connecticut woman has died from his injuries.

The incident began on Tuesday, Jan. 30, in New Haven County when police found a man shot in the back of the head when responding to a car crash behind Bertie's Restaurant in Waterbury.

The man, identified as Keno Williams, age 38, of Waterbury, died on Tuesday, Feb. 6 from his injuries, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police.

After Williams was found in the car, investigators identified Angela Bodden-Mitchell, of Waterbury, as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant in connection with the incident, Bessette said.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, Bodden-Mitchell was charged with a criminal attempt at murder and a criminal attempt at robbery. Bessette said charges will be upgraded now that Williams has died.

She is currently being held on a $2.5 million bond.

Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues, Bessette said.
